It is amazing to see how much we all care about the current situation in Sderot…and yet our government- who should represent the people- seems to stay apathetic to the fight. Still we must continue to speak out until we are heard.

This situation in Sderot just drives me crazy! I don’t know what the answer is, but this is unacceptable! The only course of action, as I see it, is to go in there and wipe out this element that insists on firing these rockets….. and with substantial warning, if residents get hurt……Sorry! Take it up with your terrorist neighbor…..you bring this action on yourself. Selah!

I agree 100%. This smacks of Holocaust era desperation, when Jewish parents sent their children away “until things got better.” And we all know what happened then. If everyone in Sderot were to leave, albeit temporarily, what would stop the Palestinians from crossing the border and squatting in Sderot? Would the IDF blow them up? Would it be more aggressive defending Sderot under those circumstances? Is the IDF better at defending its land than its people? What happened to the Israeli leadership that once said “f**k you” to the world because it knew that no one would protect Jews if they didn’t?

While I agree with you that the solution to the problem will not be evacuation, there are children who desperately need a break from hearing sirens and running for shelter. Sometimes, even a week or two “vacation” can do wonders for a person’s emotional well being.
