20 Places to Watch TV Shows and Movies online for free [from Israel]

I’ve been meaning to post this list of online sites for watching tv and movies for a while, but I finally got the push when I got an email from someone saying they’re a TV junkie and need their fix while living in Israel.

There are a bunch of sites like Hulu that let you watch almost any TV show, but it doesn’t work from Israel and it’s pretty frustrating. Luckily, there are some good alternatives for staring at your computer for even more hours than you already do.

Below I’ve included a list of places to watch TV shows like Heroes, Friends, Weeds, Grey’s Anatomy, and tons more. I’ve also added the 2 major Israeli TV stations (see So you think you know Hebrew, watch this).

Note: TV and movie sites are always getting shut down for one reason or another, so let me know if the information changes and I will try to keep the list updated. Also, I only watch streaming video and don’t download anything because I am paranoid about something  happening to my computer. I can’t promise anything, but I hope to only provide safe links. If a site says “Zango” I wouldn’t recommend using it.

    To Yoni, in case you ever check back – I’m just on a brief visit from the States, got here searching for something else and found your question. Not sure if you’re looking for the original (Hebrew) or HBO version (English) called In Treatment. HBO made the first 43 episodes available for streaming to promote the show, but unfortunately now I don’t see the link on their site. Also, I don’t know whether it was possible to download from Israel. But since they did release those episodes for free to viewers, chances are good that they are available elsewhere on the web, and from safe sources, since it was supplied free by the producers themselves. The English-language version is a big hit in the U.S.

    My dream would be to get access to the Food Network and HGTV here in Yerushalayim. Is that possible? I have not enrolled in cable or satellite because I have not found that any of them offer these US channels. Is there any way to watch them on the net? Or is there a service that includes them?

    hello, how i can see online for free the movie of 1998 Ahava asura or Dibbuk or Ha-Dybbuk B’sde Hatapuchim Hakdoshim ?
    I tried many times but i fount only the video of a scene. Thank you.

    Here in Chutz La’aretz (US) is there any site to stream Israeli TV and/or movies with English captions? My ivrit is not good enough to keep up with the rapid dialogue and idioms.
